Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform for public libraries, colleges and universities that offers films and documentaries.
With your Boston Public Library eCard, you are given 6 credits per month. That means that you can watch 6 films or episodes in a series. You are also given 3 days to watch a particular film or episode.
After you sign up for your BPL eCard, use your library card number and pin to sign into Kanopy.
- Go to Kanopy.com
- Click on "Get Started"
- Then click on "Find Your Library"
- In the Search Box, type in "Boston Public Library"
- Because we are using the Main Branch, select "Boston Public Library"
- Enter your library card number (you'll find it in your confirmation email from the Boston Public Library) and your 4 digit pin number that you created when you signed up for your card. Then click on "Continue"
- You will then be asked to create some login info. Use your NMH school email and choose whatever password you like.
- Be sure to check your NMH school email for a confirmation from Kanopy.
And you are all set to go!
