Exploring Diverse Books
Everyone deserves to see themselves and their experiences through characters in books. Fiction can also provide readers a window into lives and experiences that may be new or unfamiliar to them, a window that can transform into a sliding glass door that can be walked through in imagination. These are some of the many reasons we need exposure to a diverse range of characters in books that we read and/or books that are written by a diversity of authors. Come to the library to find out about more reasons to read diverse books, find diverse books that you might like to read, and share your thoughts about your favorite ones.
