A database is a collection of information organized for easy retrieval, with the information usually behind a paywall. The Library provides NMH students and staff access to over 80 databases.

The information in the databases might be available in multiple ones, but sometimes databases have original content or are only provided for resources. Think of it as Netflix, Hulu, Max, etc. Each works very similarly and has some of the same content, but then there are shows/movies/documentaries only available on one platform.
Science is the peer-reviewed academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and one of the world's top academic journals. The major focus of the journal is publishing important original scientific research and research reviews, but Science also publishes science-related news, opinions on science policy and other matters of interest to scientists and others who are concerned with the wide implications of science and technology.
