The Podcast Studio is located on the ground floor of the Schauffler Library near the Silent Study Room. It contains three directional podcasting microphones, headphones, and a RODECaster Pro recording deck.
Follow these steps to reserve using the Podcast Studio:
- Email librarians@nmhschool.org to schedule a training session. You must be trained by a librarian. Students MAY NOT train other students. You MUST be trained by a Librarian in order to use the space.
- Once you are trained on the equipment, please speak to a librarian or email them to schedule a time to reserve the space. Please note that it is recommended that you reserve the space ahead of time to ensure you have the time needed to complete your recording.
- Stop by the front desk to let the librarian on duty know you reserved the Podcast Studio. If needed, we will check out a microSD card and a Card Adapter for your computer. Alternatively, you can provide your microSD card and card reader (if needed).
- The Librarian on Duty will walk you down to the space to unlock the door.
- Once completed, you must shut the Podcast Studio door, turn off the lights, and return the borrowed supplies to the front desk. Do not simply leave the supplies at the front desk. Be sure to hand them to the Librarian.
- Before you return the items, please be sure you have transferred the files to your computer.
