When your results show up, they're in some kind of order, typically:
- Relevance
- The database has determined that these results make the most sense for your particular search
- Newest
- These results have been published the most recently
- Oldest
- These results have been published the least recently
You can change the order to best suit your needs! You may wish to showcase the results in chronological order (aka "Oldest") if you're doing a paper on news coverage for a historical event, for example.
